"What exactly is Edge Effect?”
Edge Effect consists of two things:On one hand we're a production company, writing and producing music for media such as tv, games, film (pretty straightforward)
We're a service business!
On the other hand though, Edge Effect is about delivering kick-ass music in ever-evolving kick-ass ways. Relentlessly searching and experimenting to try and create new, fresh and awesome ways to deliver and experience music.
(I don't know what kind of a business that is!)
Edge Effect is a Music Company, an Entertainment Company, a Media Company, a Culture.
Some Views and Values:1. A society where culture & art are not seen as a luxury, something to be cut from the budget, because it costs too much and doesn’t provide a “return”.
But a society where culture & art are seen for what it is:A necessity; The very core of humanity and mankind
2. A countermovement against mainstream music and entertainment, because people are being fed utter crap and the whole thing is one big fake game, together with tv and radio.
The Aim:To bring a new way for people to enjoy music with depth, boldness, character, daringness, knowledge and skill.
To create a self-sustaining culture that doesn’t need help from the government or is affected by its choices (such as budget and subsidies).
To stand outside of the music industry, outside of the mainstream entertainment industry and create something that stands on its own.
To keep pushing the envelope and stay on the cutting edge of music and keep looking for new ways and new crossovers and collaborations to bring music and stories to people and have a place in their lives.
We want to work together with other creatives to shape our society for the better.
Progress and welfare come from creativity, not from bureaucratic conservatism.
No complaining about no budget, no resources, no material, …
No excuses. We work with what we have and we move people with our skill and craftWe are but simple people
No glorified bullsh*t
Time to get real and time to blow away the smoke and mirrors
Time for honest music and time to redefine “entertainment”
